Join us on October 13-15th to learn the traditional practice of tanning deer hides into soft and supple buckskin. Participants will learn the entire tanning process and leave the workshop with a finished hide. The class will begin Friday evening with an overview of the process. Participants are encouraged to be at the farm by 7 PM, let us know if you can’t be here by then. You are also welcome to come early on Friday and get a jump start on the process. We will start each morning at 9AM and finish the class Sunday evening with the smoking process. If you have to leave early you will still learn the whole process but you may have to smoke your hide at a later time. Please note that this class involves physically strenuous activity.
